have you ever been told a joke and then half-way along the joke you think… “i’ve heard this shit before”? 

It’s pretty much the same as reposts… you know… like on 9gag… 

the feeling of knowing is odd… it’s a mixture of cockiness and “you’re soo… mainstream”

but if i really haven’t heard that joke before… then… wow… it’s brilliant!!

same with advertising i suppose… so many times i’ve heard the blind man thing about him not getting enough change because his board says i’m blind help, then some bitch changes it to “it’s a beautiful day i can’t see it…”

i would scrawl at the bottom of his board “sorry… repost”

i’m trying to emphasize the importance of originality… 

as long as print continues to be on paper and billboards continue to be an eyesore… the content should be compelling enough. compelling in a way that is original and BOOMZ.

i’ve been seeing the colgate mouthrinse ad a lot lately… i think it sucks and is a bad rip off of kit kat’s karaoke tvc.

i don’t like how creatives always require references… and i don’t like how visual depictions are subject to stock image availability… what happened to sketches? what happened to hand-drawn ads? what happened to the freedom of expression?

I am up this late hour working… and I came across the controversial 8TV Ramadhan ad. OK… Malaysian media… I’ve got something to say to you… for an organization like you to not consider the implications of your ad even after years of existing in this country/industry…. I must say you truly are stupid *&#@s. And with all the recent political and social tension, you decide to Ka Yao? How stupid are you? If you came up with that idea in-house, I would suggest you get yourself a fucking ad agency to manage your ads and a please consider a good one. If an ad agency came up with that, please ensure whoever came up with that shit get fired and never hired in this industry ever again.

So yea… you’re stupid and you’ve proven that to the public once more… congrats!

So my art director partner told me that over the weekend she googled passive aggression and that it was horrific. I googled it as well later on… turns out… i do wish for the failure and anxiety of my “friends”… not all of them but the ones that i feel are stupid (which happen to be quite a few).

now i may not be the wellspring of wisdom but i really hate it when people act stupid and get credited for it. take for example a friend who has a douche-y profile picture… e.g. dressed up as a slutty fairy… and getting praised.

I mean… passive aggression?? how can it not be normal? it is the underdog formula to rationalize that the so called upperdogs are subject to utter stupidity. these “friends” i’m referring to… are usually amazing achievers, getting good grades and shit. but they act stupid after ending a relationship, after gaining 10 pounds, after getting an A minus… ugh i can feel the fury boiling in my thyroid…

now… i honestly don’t know if it’s just me… but as i look at the world filled with rebecca black haters… i believe passive aggression is natural and healthy.

i guess some people might start to question themselves after reading this article… just ask yourself… am i being a douche? is ben passive aggressive? am i passive aggressive? is my profile picture not eye catching enough? should i shove an apple up my rectallia?

the mind is a funny thing… it perceives and i taught to hypothesize. the complexity comes in how the mind decides and favours something over another. i like to think im right sometimes, but that’s not always the outcome. but my “wrong” is only a concept of what is less favourable by someone else… but unfortunately i am a player in a game of which i was born to play. sigh…. chocolate cakes….
